Tailoring Your Special Day
I'll admit I still feel unsatisfied with my wedding. Don't get me wrong, I got to marry the man of my dreams, but at the end of the day it belonged to someone else. It was a normal wedding led by a Resgitrar, we were told what to say and where we could go. I knew then that I wanted to be a Celebrant and assist people in having the ceremony they wanted. Completely bespoke to the couple not from a scripted template like I had. Using my creative writing, people focused skills and event planning, I'm here now to assist you in your forever day.
It's only you that matters
Meet my nan, Dot. While she was in a hospice and I knew that she wasn't long for this world, I felt incredibly sad, that this amazing woman, who had guided me all my life will not be around for my future wedding. So, with agreement of the Hospice and my now husband, we held a Handfasting ceremony by her bedside. I wrote the ceremony and asked my friend to Officiate for us. My nan did our first hand bind. This was the day that sparked my interest in being a Celebrant. Our ceremony will never be like anyone elses. I cried, my nan cried and my friend cried but it was the most beautiful moment of my life. Love and miss you nan x
